Our karate classes for children and adults are run in our Liverpool club, held inside Westfield Liverpool shopping Centre. We start our Kids programs from 4 years of age, and have classes for juniors, teens, and adults. There’s something available for the whole family to gain from training in karate. We teach traditional Japanese karate (Goju Ryu) in a safe, positive, and encouraging environment, and focus on the development of mental and physical strength, as well as improving fitness, focus and building confidence and general health and wellbeing. We cater for beginner students and also for advanced students. Take your karate journey to the next level with our karate academy.

Karate is one of the most popular of all the Martial Arts, dating back to the Okinawan times where it was developed for the locals to defend themselves against the tyranny of mainland Japan. As they were banned from equipping themselves with traditional weaponry, the locals had to learn how to defend themselves using only their bare hands. Moving forward several decades karate was popularised and introduced to mainland Japan in a modernised as more holistic self defence system and as a way of life for personal empowerment and character growth.
Today karate is practiced by millions of people around the world. There are 4 main traditional styles - Goju Ryu, Shotokan, Shito Ryu, Wado Ryu. We are Goju Ryu and are members of the Japan Karate Federation (JKF) Goju Kai, as well as members of the Australian Karate Federation (AKF)
